Bioinfomatics Graduate Programs at UIUC
UIUC offers Bioinformatics non-thesis M.S., thesis M.S., and Ph.D. programs through four departments: Animal Sciences, Crop Sciences, Computer Science, and Library & Information Science. Students should apply through the department they are interested in. Typically students must first get a M.S. in Bioinformatics before they can move on to a Ph.D., but exceptions may be made depending on department and advisor. See the department websites for more specific information about each Bioinformatics program.
